Vertige™, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Vertige mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data, including health and wellness data, when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our health-tracking Service to you.

Email address (for account creation, authentication, and password resets).
First name or username.
C. Usage and Device Data
We automatically collect information that your mobile device sends whenever you use our Service ("Usage Data"). This includes:
Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
App crash logs, diagnostic data, and performance metrics.
2. Our Backend and Infrastructure (Firebase)
We securely host our application infrastructure and databases using Google Firebase, a cloud computing platform provided by Google LLC. Your data—including account credentials and health symptom logs—is transmitted to and stored securely within Firebase services (such as Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, or Realtime Database).
Data processed through Firebase is managed in strict compliance with Google's security practices. Firebase protects data using industry-standard encryption both in transit and at rest.

We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:
To Provide the Service: Storing and rendering your vestibular symptom logs so you can review your history.
Account Management: Authenticating your secure login and managing your user profile.
App Performance Monitoring: To track crashes and bugs to maintain technical stability.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal health data to data brokers, advertisers, or any other third parties.
4. Third-Party Service Providers

5. Security of Sensitive Data
The security of your health data is our highest priority. We utilize Firebase’s built-in cryptographic protocols to secure data transfer and storage. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your sensitive data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to, or intended for, anyone under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information or health data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our Firebase servers.
7. Your Data Rights and Account Deletion

Upon deletion, all personal identifiers and vestibular symptom logs will be permanently removed from our active Firebase databases. Residual backup copies may persist for a limited period before being entirely overwritten, in accordance with Firebase's data lifecycle protocols.
